COVID-19 Lockdown 3.0 : Tamil Nadu

COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in Tamil Nadu is currently at the 3rd phase which was announced on May 2, 2020. The 1st phase was from Mar 25, 2020 to Apr 14, 2020 and the 2nd phase was from Apr 15, 2020 to May 3, 2020 and now the 3rd phase is from May 4, 2020 which is presently scheduled to end on May 17, 2020.

The lockdown restricts people from stepping out of their homes. Public transport, all kinds of functions and gatherings, cinema halls, malls, air-conditioned jewelleries, textiles, Educational institutions, industrial establishments and hospitality services are not permitted during this period.

Agricultural and allied activities, plantations, marine and inland fishing, animal husbandry, poultry, milk and milk processing, food shops, banks and ATMs, petrol pumps, other essentials and their manufacturing are exempted from the lockdown. Home care providers such as Plumber, Electrician, AC mechanic, Carpenter, etc can resume services after obtaining necessary permission from the Government.
