Honorary Consul Mr. Ar Rm Arun was Chief Guest at The Pupil International School’s Annual Day

The Honorary Consul of The Czech Republic in Chennai, Mr. Ar Rm Arun was the Chief Guest at The Pupil International School’s Annual Day held on Apr 4, 2024. The School is part of the Chennai based Saveetha Group of Institutions founded by Dr. Veeraiyan and run by Dr. Saveetha.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Arun shared about the Czech Republic known locally as Czechia and located in the centre of Europe. Mr. Arun mentioned the capital Prague being the most popular travel destination, recently was voted as the most beautiful city in world. Other major cities include Brno, Plsen & Ostrava. Mr. Arun shared that Popular snack is called Trdelnik with delicious fillings. Mr. Arun mentioned the Czech Republic having given India 3 major brands of Bata, Jawa & Skoda, also he shared Indian food very popular in Czechia. Mr. Arun mentioned about Thirukural, our Tamil Ancient Text, translated to Czech by Czech Prof and said lot of our Students visit for higher education. Mr. Arun mentioned Czech films popular in Chennai and the Czech Consulate having conducted several Film Festivals.

Mr. Arun shared about the necessity of being a Good Citizen. He quoted Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam who said “Where there is righteousness in the heart, there is beauty in the character. When there is beauty in the character, there is harmony in the home. When there is harmony in the home, there is order in the nation. When there is order in the nation, there is peace in the world." Mr. Arun encouraged the audience to follow-thru with Dr.Kalam’s words and gave 4 suggestions towards each person being a good Citizen.

Mr. Arun also shared Good Habits towards being a better person. In this regard, Mr.Arun shared 7 traits that each person can follow and thereby benefit for all others too. The event was attended by 300 people including Faculty, Students & Parents.
