COVID-19 Lockdown 4.0 : Tamil Nadu

COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in Tamil Nadu is currently at the 4th phase which was announced on May 17, 2020. The 1st phase was from Mar 25, 2020 to Apr 14, 2020 and the 2nd phase was from Apr 15, 2020 to May 3, 2020 and the 3rd phase was from May 4, 2020 to May 17, 2020 and now the 4th phase is from May 18, 2020 which is presently scheduled to end on May 31, 2020.

In Tamil Nadu, new relaxations include such as resumption of public transportation in 25 districts after an interval of nearly two months. Barring Containment Zones, certain relaxations are likely to open the economy with the operation of all markets, Offices, Industries & Businesses. All activities to be permitted except those which are specifically prohibited.

Activities prohibited thru the Country are Hotels, Dine In-restaurants and other hospitality services, places of large public gatherings such as cinemas, shopping malls, gymnasiums, entertainment parks, and access to religious places/places of worship.

All the activities that were permitted during the third phase of lockdown will continue to be allowed in the fourth phase as well. It is important to note that above activities will not be allowed in containment zones. In containment zones, the central government guidelines only permit essential services.
