The next Parliamentary Elections in the Czech Republic will be held on Oct 8-9, 2021 (Friday & Saturday). All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies will be elected and the leader of the resulting government will become the Prime Minister.
It is not possible to vote at the Honorary Consulates of the Czech Republic. Citizens of the Czech Republic residing in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka can vote only at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi. Voting can be done only in person.
The place of elections is the polling booth at the Embassy in New Delhi (50-M Niti Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, 110021). On Oct 8, 2021 the voting will be held between 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Oct 9, 2021 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
1) be registered at the Embassy in a list of voters,
2) have a voter ID issued by the Embassy and
3) submit a voter ID and show Czech Passport (or Czech ID card ("Obcansky prukaz") when entering the voting station on Election Day.
Ballots will be received in the polling station on election days. Until Sunday, Aug 29, 2021, an application for registration to the voters list of the Embassy may be submitted. On Thursday, Sep 23, 2021, the issuance of voter ID can begin. Friday, Oct 1, 2021 is the deadline for submitting application for receiving the voter ID by post or data box and Wednesday, Oct 6, 2021 is the deadline for submitting application in person at the Embassy.
