Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Chennai meet the EU Research & Innovation Counsellors

Mr. Ar Rm Arun, Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Chennai attended a networking Dinner in Chennai during the Visit of the European Union Research & Innovation Counsellors. The Regional members of the EU States’ participated during the Reception.

The European Union Member States’ Regional Presentation Mission had launched a Program on Dec 4, 2019 in Chennai. Mr. Milan Dostál, Trade & Commercial Counsellor, Embassy of the Czech Republic, New Delhi had visited Chennai a part of the Scientific Diplomacy. The program started with a visit & interaction with the renowned Anna University followed with a presentation at the CLRI (Central Leather Research Institute and later visited the Institute of Mathematical Sciences by evening. One of the most important & regular activity of the Czech Embassy, New Delhi is towards promoting Czech Science and Tertiary Education, which increasingly emphasizes the greater support towards cooperation in Research & Innovation.

On the following day Dec 5th, Mr. Dostál visited the IIT, Madras and presented Czech Science, Research & Innovation and during the brief interaction, the Director of IIT Madras had mentioned about the ongoing cooperation with the Czech Republic Academia and further deepening the interest.

All delegates were much impressed after visiting the IIT Madras Technology Park as it is one of the most progressive Technology Development Centers in India. Later in the evening, the delegation of the active EU Member States visited the Structural Engineering Research Centre and joined for the networking Dinner with the domestic representative of the Research ecosystem.
