Indian Bank, Pallathur Branch celebrates Customer Day with Mr. Ar Rm Arun as Chief Guest

The Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Chennai Mr. Ar Rm Arun had visited his native village Pallathur located in Tamil Nadu’s Sivaganga District, about 400 Km south of Chennai. Indian Bank’s Pallathur Branch is housed in a Property owned by Mr. Arun's Family. Some of Mr. Arun’s companies also being significant Customers for Indian Bank, the Zonal Manager & Branch Manager of Indian Bank invited Mr. Arun to attend the Customer Day Function as Chief Guest and address the Audience.

Congratulating Indian Bank for reaching out to its Customers, Mr. Arun shared that Customers are a very important part of any business. We have to listen to our Customers and take adequate actions to ensure necessary Customer satisfaction at all times. If we don’t take care of our Customers legitimate demands today, we won’t be in business tomorrow. On getting to know that none of the Audience had heard about the Czech Republic, Mr. Arun took the opportunity to brief them about the Czech Republic.

Addressing in Tamil, Mr. Arun started by talking about BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd) as one of its main plants is located in Trichy, Tamil Nadu and a Satellite Power Unit is located in Thirumayam (near Pallathur) and well familiar to all in the area. Mr. Arun mentioned that BHEL was set up in the 1960s using technology from Czechoslovakia. Wishing the audience on the recently concluded 75th Indian Independence Day, Mr. Arun shared that Czechoslovakia has been a good friend to India ever since India’s independence.

Mr. Arun shared that tremendous number of Students from Tamil Nadu are visiting the Czech Republic for higher education in fields including Engineering, Medicine, Arts & Sciences. Czech films are very popular in Chennai and lot of Tourists are also visiting the Czech Republic from all parts of Tamil Nadu. Today, the Czech Republic works closely with India on Aerospace & Defence with most Indian Airports using Czech Radars. Mr. Arun said that he was glad to share that under his initiative, a Government & Business Delegation is now heading to the Czech Republic. Minister Mr. T. M. Anbarasan is scheduled to lead the Delegation with about 30 people joining and focus being to increase cross-sectoral ties between Tamil Nadu & the Czech Republic.

Mr. Arun also took the opportunity to share a few words about Covid. He said that the disease is very much among us with lot of people still getting infected. Mr. Arun said we have to ensure the necessary vaccinations at all times, continue to wear masks while especially within closed places and importantly boost our body’s immunity.
