COVID-19 Surge : Tamil Nadu Government announces new restrictions & guidelines from Apr 10, 2021

In view of the surge in COVID-19 cases, the Tamil Nadu Government has announced a slew of restrictions, including banning of Festival & Religious gatherings starting Apr 10, 2021 till Apr 30, 2021. Places of worship can be open only till 8pm. ePass will be continued for those travelling from other States (except Puducherry, Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh) and other Countries.

Complete lockdown will be enforced without any relaxations in all Containment Zones across the State. Commuters will not be allowed to travel standing in Corporation & Private Buses which includes buses to Puducherry, Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh.

Recreation Clubs, Entertainment Parks/Amusement Parks, Conference Halls, Zoological Parks, Museums, All Cinema Halls will be permitted only with 50% capacity.

Restaurants and tea shops will be allowed to function only with 50% sitting capacity till 11pm. Parcel services at Restaurants is permitted only till 11pm.

Exhibition Halls will be permitted only for Business to Business purpose. Swimming Pools are permitted only for Sports Training. Sports Stadium & playgrounds will be permitted without an audience.
