Tamil Nadu Government extends COVID-19 lockdown till Nov 30, 2020

Tamil Nadu Government announced its decision to extend the ongoing lockdown till Nov 30, 2020 with further more relaxations.

The Government announced that Schools (Class 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th only), all Colleges, Research Institutions and Educational Institutions are allowed to operate following the standard guidelines from Nov 16, 2020.

All Hostels including School/Colleges and Staff hostels are allowed to operate from Nov 16, 2020. Also Religious meetings, Social, political, entertainment, cultural events, educational ceremonies and related meetings are allowed with maximum 100 persons following the SOPs from Nov 16th.

The Sub-Urban Trains service for the Public is allowed to operate by following standard guidelines of the Central Government.

Public meeting places such as amusement parks, large & meeting halls, Zoos, museums are allowed to operate from Nov 10, 2020 following standard guidelines.

Restrictions would continue to remain in the Containment Zones according to the existing procedures without any relaxation.

The ban on International flights will continue except for the routes approved by the Union Home Ministry. Also restrictions will continue in public gathering places such as swimming pools, beaches and tourist sites.
