Tamil Nadu Government extends Lockdown till Jul 12th with uniform relaxations in all districts

The Tamil Nadu government has extended the lockdown till Jul 12, 2021 with uniform relaxations in all districts. In addition to the already announced relaxations, the government announced additional relaxations.

Except the containment zones, the previous relaxations will continue to remain in the rest of the state. All shops that were permitted to operate till 7pm will be now allowed till 8pm.

The business to business exhibitions will be permitted only with invitees. The organisers and the staff members of the outlets will have to have two doses of RT-PCR tests.

IT/ITES will be allowed with 50% workforce. Museums, archaeological monuments and excavation sites will be permitted to open between 10am and 5pm.

All textile and jewellery showrooms will be permitted to have 50% customers at a time. Shopping complex/malls will be allowed to function between 8am and 8pm. Dine-in areas can have only 50% Customers. Cinema theatres and game centres are not permitted.

Hotels, Lodges & guest houses will be allowed to function, but only 50% of customers permitted in the dormitories. Gyms, Sports & Dine-in areas will be permitted in Clubs following Covid protocols. Gymnasiums and Yoga centres will be allowed with 50% customers at a time.

Inter and intra district public transport will be allowed without air-conditioning facility and 50% seating capacity.

Inter-State private and bus transport, International Air-travel except the ones allowed by the Union Home Ministry, Cinema theatres, Bars, Swimming Pools, social & political meetings, entertainment, sports & cultural events, Schools and Colleges remain prohibited.
